Innovative technologies are transforming Australia’s manufacturing sector.
The manufacturing industry is becoming more efficient through the innovative application of technologies, processes, and methods in product design and production. This allows manufacturers to optimise manufacturing operations, cut costs, elevate product quality, and potentially introduce improved products to the market.
Clean and advanced manufacturing is an opportunity to increase Australia’s economic complexity. More diverse offerings will make Australia more resilient to economic shocks and changes. Notably, the Australian government-funded Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre (AMGC), with hundreds of manufacturers as members, reflects a strong interest in this endeavour. Additionally, the more we manufacture here, the more emissions reductions Australia can influence.
