Beyond Zero Emissions strengthens Board with appointment of Zoe Hilson and Manik Mahajan

Zoe and Manik join Geoff Summerhayes, Kylea Tink, Elisa de Wit, Peter Rohde, Susheela Peres da Costa, Dr Anne Hellstedt and Rod Henderson.

Chair Geoff Summerhayes said the appointments enhance the Board’s capability at a critical moment for Australia’s energy transition.

“Zoe and Manik bring complementary strengths in both investment and delivery across the energy transition,” said Mr Summerhayes. “Zoe’s deep legal and commercial expertise across global clean energy markets and Manik’s experience advising on energy system transformation and investment will be invaluable.”

“These appointments reinforce BZE’s commitment to strong governance and informed decision-making as Australia accelerates its transition to a clean, competitive economy.”

“Along with the appointments late last year of Kylea Tink and Rod Henderson, this significantly strengthens and refreshes the BZE Board.”

Chief Executive Officer Heidi Lee welcomed the new directors, noting their experience across clean energy development, investment and strategy.

“Zoe and Manik understand how to translate complex energy challenges into practical solutions,” Ms Lee said. “Their appointments will support BZE in delivering credible, evidence based solutions that accelerate Australia’s shift to a clean economy.”

Ms Hilson is currently Chief Commercial Officer of HMC Capital’s Energy Transition Platform, was previously a Partner at Baker McKenzie and is an energy leader across multiple sectors including utility scale clean energy and zero-emission transportation. Mr Mahajan is currently a Principal in the Energy Transition practice at Arthur D. Little, and is an investment and strategy adviser, focusing on energy transition, industrial decarbonisation and natural resources.
