Western Australia has the resources, industrial capability and skills to become a global leader in clean industry and green metals. But capturing that opportunity will depend on getting the foundations right.

Join Beyond Zero Emissions, The Superpower Institute and Generation Steel for a discussion on Western Australia’s clean industry opportunity, drawing on BZE’s latest Powering Up Western Australia research.

We’ll explore the opportunity for green metals and other new industries in WA, what’s needed to turn the state’s renewable and industrial strengths into investment and jobs, and why infrastructure, energy supply and industrial demand need to move together.

The discussion will look at what’s happening on the ground in key industrial regions including Kwinana and Port Hedland, the barriers holding investment back, and what government and industry can do now to ensure WA is ready to compete. BZE’s research identifies coordination and sequencing as central to turning WA’s existing industrial strengths into new clean industries.
