Beyond Zero Emissions strengthens Board with appointment of Kylea Tink and Rod Henderson

Kylea and Rod join Geoff Summerhayes, Elisa de Wit, Peter Rohde, Susheela Peres da Costa, Cristina Talacko and Dr Anne Hellstedt, the board who has overseen BZE’s organisational uplift and strategy refresh.

Chair Geoff Summerhayes said the appointments reflect the Board’s commitment to strong governance and practical leadership across Australia’s energy and industrial transition.

“Kylea and Rod each bring exceptional experience that aligns with our focus on regional electrification and clean industry,” said Mr Summerhayes.

“Kylea’s leadership in the not-for-profit sector and her community networks will be invaluable. Rod’s extensive industrial experience and connections across regional Australia will strengthen our ability to partner with regional leaders to deliver tangible outcomes.”

Mr Summerhayes said the appointments reaffirm BZE’s role as an independent, solutions-focused organisation engaging across all sides of politics.

“These appointments are about capability and collaboration,” he said. “Our Board brings together leaders with the networks and experience needed to help Australia capture the benefits of the clean economy.”

Chief Executive Officer Heidi Lee welcomed the new directors, noting that their insight and networks will support BZE’s work with regional industries and communities.

“Kylea and Rod understand what it takes to turn ambition into real-world progress,” Ms Lee said. “Their appointments will help us ensure the benefits of electrification and clean industry are shared widely.”

Ms Tink is currently CEO of Foodbank Australia, was previously CEO of the McGrath Foundation and a former independent Member of Parliament. Mr Henderson is an industrial operations leader and advisor, formerly CEO of Ampcontrol Australia, and serves on several industry boards.
