The National Action Plan: Regional Assessment Process is designed to help evaluate the conditions required to deliver clean industry projects across regions, sectors, and levels of government. It is structured around a hierarchy of Themes, Categories, and Indicators, known collectively as the Critical Success Criteria.
There are 5 Themes, broken down into 17 Categories, and over 50 Indicators. These indicators define what good looks like and support consistent, evidence-based assessments of regional and sectoral preparedness for clean industry development.
This document (Version 2, March 2026) provides an assessment process for 20 Indicators across 6 Categories and 4 Themes. The remainder will be developed and tested with partners through ongoing collaboration. The high-level themes are:
