Electric Cars & Bikes

Lower emissions & higher accessibility.

Today, electric vehicles are already cleaner to run

Electric cars, also known as electric vehicles (EVs), are vehicles that are powered by electric motors, using electricity stored in rechargeable batteries. They are designed to be propelled by electric power rather than internal combustion engines, making them around 70% more efficient. Given the sheer efficiency of electric motors, EVs still emit less carbon than an internal combustion engine even if most of the electricity is from fossil fuels. With high EV uptake, and a fast transition to renewable energy, significant carbon cuts can be made.

E-bikes make cycling more accessible

E-bikes are bicycles equipped with small electric motors that can be activated to assist pedalling up to a certain speed. Electric motors allow bikes to be used in situations where human pedal power is insufficient. They allow heavier loads to be carried and increase accessibility for people with less fitness or mobility. E-bikes take up less road space, are less impactful on infrastructure, increase the health of riders and use far less power compared to other forms of transport
