Digital Media Officer

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Digital Media Officer who is excited about the opportunity to use their skills to accelerating climate action in Australia. 

This role is responsible for coordinating the key digital communication outputs of Beyond Zero Emissions which includes: creating and publishing content, social media management, implementing paid digital marketing and community engagement.

Your day will be varied and include a diverse range of digital communication activities such as: 

  • Full responsibility for social media strategy and delivery
  • Website management and updating
  • Creating digital content including copywriting and graphic design
  • Producing videos and contributing to the design of key publications
  • Coordination of our newsletter and electronic direct mail campaigns
  • Collaborating closely with internal and external teams on projects, including volunteer management. 

Reporting to our Communications Manager, you will be joining a small but mighty team of passionate and curious individuals who love their work and want to make a difference using their skills. 

This is an ongoing position, available as either full time or part time 4 days a week. Our Head Office is located in Melbourne, however we are open to remote candidates located in other parts of the country.  

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for an energetic digital whiz who loves a challenge, enjoys variety in the day-to-day and can produce high-impact storytelling through different mediums. You will have a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience, ideally coupled with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and/or Communications.

This role will suit someone who thrives on having a diverse to-do list and can use their initiative to work autonomously and manage multiple competing priorities.You will be a people person who can communicate confidently in both written and verbal forms and is eager to learn and give things a go. 

On top of that, you will be a team player who is committed to BZE’s vision and proud to be working on making an impact in this space.
